Seeing as Teriyaki Sauce is something I use quite often on my blog and in my recipes, I felt the need to post a separate entry sharing this information, Teriyaki Sauce is NOT gluten free.
FOR MY FELLOW CELIAC/GLUTEN INTOLERANT/GLUTEN ALLERGY FRIENDS - PLEASE READ THIS:
Teriyaki Sauce is not gluten free unless labeled as such due to the fact that Teriyaki Sauce is made with Soy Sauce, which is also not gluten free due to being made with wheat.
SO
- Buy a certified and labeled gluten free teriyaki sauce
- Wegmans carries a GF Teriyaki Sauce that I love (for those who have this store locally)
- Kikkoman brand
- San J bran
- I am sure there are others out there but I personally have heard good things about Kikkoman and San J
OR
- create your own teriyaki sauce using a gluten free soy sauce such as Kikkoman, San J, or La Choy
SO
