Not only is MyOatmeal.com awesome in itself, but so is the founder, Anthony Collova! I had the opportunity to speak with him on a few separate occasions and he was so down to earth and helpful. He truly puts all of his passion into his business and it's evident in his About Me and Our Mission section on the website. They both radiate such positive vibes and a genuine desire to make a difference, as he says enriching the lives of others, one bag of customized oatmeal at a time.
Anthony graciously offered me the opportunity to test out and do a review of MyOatmeal.com and its products. With 50 flavor options that are all gluten free, I felt like a little kid in a candy store, trying to make a decision while "building my own blends." Thank goodness I was able to review more than one bag, because the flavor choices were endless and I am atrocious at making decisions! My BIG sweet tooth got the best of me when ordering these bags...but I'm not complaining :)

I will be doing my review of three custom blends and their PB Lean Product as a series on my blog.
Here is Part 1 of the series:
- GF Quick Oats
- Peanut Butter Flavoring
- Cookie Dough Flavoring
- Brown Cane Sugar
I typically do not like my Oats hot, as you know I am Overnight Oatmeal Obsessed so I was hesitant to even deviate from my usual Overnight Oats routine, BUT, these were WELL worth it.
I haven't had ACTUAL cookie dough, in probably almost three years, so I kind of forgot what it tasted like to be honest. BUT I do remember loving to eat it raw when I was little, just before the chocolate chips were added in.
THAT was my favorite part, and these oats tasted just like it! The brown sugar sweetener really brought out the "just made batter" flavor in these oats. I couldn't taste the peanut butter as much as I would have liked, BUT I was very satisfied with this overly sweet bowl. It wasn't overly sweet for me, because, I LOVE sweet, I mean, I eat sugar cubes sometimes....but if you're sweet tooth isn't as big as an elephant tusk like mine is, maybe opt for a different flavor, or omit the peanut butter, which to me, just added extra sugary goodness!
1. Dump the dry oats on to a dry cookie sheet
2. Throw in the oven at 350 for 10-15 minutes
3. Eat as is, or as a topping for yogurt, icecream, whatever you desire
He called it a "super easy and fun way to get the oats to taste a bit different."
Now THAT is prime customer service, an immediate email to me, with a recipe suggestion!
