come in six unique flavors:
Hazelnut Chocolate Cherry, Raspberry Almond, Coconut Cashew, Apricot Almond Chai, Walnut Cappuccinno and Fruit and Nut.
All bars enable you taste the individual ingredients, which I love! A perfect trio of texture: crispy, crunchy, and chewy, with sweetness in every bite.
As someone who is always hungry, I'm always on the lookout for a delicious AND nutritious bar to keep in my purse or backpack for when a snack attack occurs and these bars are just the thing!
Not to mention, they cater to my insatiable sweet tooth, in a healthy way! Truebars are: Gluten Free, Dairy & Casein Free, non-GMO, Low Sodium, Kosher, a good source of fiber AND have omega-3 fatty acids from chia seeds!
Hazelnut Chocolate Cherry - My FAVORITE flavor!
Typically I am not a fan of cherry flavored things but I actually loved this flavor! The super sweet cherry flavor was the most noticeable. Each bite had hints of chocolate swirled in as chocolate chips melted in my mouth, chewing on sporadic hazelnut chunks. If you've got a big sweet tooth, than this bar is for you!
Raspberry Chocolate Almond
Since I love all three things in the title of this bar, I originally expected this to be my favorite.
The bar was firmer than the Hazelnut Chocolate Cherry. The almonds made the bar more crunchy than chewy. It was sweet, but not too sweet. The raspberry flavor was present in each bite, but not WOW type of flavor, it more resembled how a raspberry sucker would taste with bits of chocolate subtly mixed in between the hard crunches of almonds.
Coconut Cashew
This bar smells like summer time to me. As I continued to chew, the sweetness of the bar increased as well as the coconut flavor. Cashew bites were spaced through out, in betweek shreds of coconut. This was a flakier bar compared to the chewiness of the others, it reminded me of a Snakaroon, which are a favorite treat of mine! The coconut flavor is not overpowering, so even if you are not a coconut lover, this bar still may tickle your fancy!
Apricot Almond Chai
All I kept thinking while eating this was "this tastes like an Indian Restaurant." This bar had a VERY strong chai taste. As I continued to chew, the chai flavor became stronger. There were notes of apricot and the texture was chewy. This bar was more savory, and I prefer sweet things. My least favorite flavor!
Walnut Cappuccino
My opinion on this bar is biased because:
1. I have never even had a cappuccino before
2. I generally don't enjoy coffee flavored anything
The bar had a very strong coffee/cappuccino flavor, and a softer texture from the walnuts. If you're an avid cappuccino sipper, than I'm sure you'd love this flavor! Me? Not so much.
Fruit and Nut
This should be called Nut and Fruit bar instead, since the heavy nut taste is the first thing I noticed when biting into this bar. Packed with almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, and pumpkin seeds, this bar was still chewy! The fruit flavor was subtle, more of an aftertaste and the least sweet of all the bars I sampled
My top three: Hazelnut Chocolate Cherry, Raspberry Chocolate Almond, & Coconut Cashew
