I typically don't like to eat right before I go to sleep, but I had night class which always throws my dinner schedule off and I was starving so I ventured into the kitchen, thinking what would be a satisfying but not too heavy option...I had just made a fresh batch of vanilla cinnamon almond butter and thought it would go great on an apple, after eating a few bites and thinking it was KIND OF like apple pie, I wondered what microwaving it would do...curiousity didn't kill the cat here, but rather created a quick dessert that tastes ALMOST just like real apple pie!
1 apple, cored and sliced
Vanilla Cinnamon Almond Butter - use as much or as little as you like, I don't measure stuff like that
(Check out the recipe for this on my blog!)
1. Microwave for 25-30 seconds, check apples you want them warm and mushy
2. ENJOY, the melted spread with the warm mushy apples resembles an apple pie/apple crisp consistency
For all my gluten free/dairy free friends out there, this recipes brings back a classic with out the need for a lengthy baking process or weird flours and ingredients, HIGH FIVE TO THAT!
